Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire – Full Time.
We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Shift Leader to support our young people in our Children’s Homes. The role is part of a team that ensures high standards of care and offers the possibility of progression within the group.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day support for young people, ensuring smooth running of the home.
* Support and develop staff, maintaining high standards and stepping up as deputy for Team Leadership when required.
* Engage positively with young people, building relationships and delivering leadership that inspires colleagues.
* Take part in a 4‑week Care Academy induction and ongoing training.
Qualifications & Attributes
* Can‑do attitude and team spirit.
* Honesty, empathy, and emotional resilience in challenging situations.
* Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); if not held, the group will pay for study.
* Ability to relate to and build relationships with young people.
Training, Support & Progression
* 4‑week Care Academy induction.
* Career progression within the group and access to Aspire future managers programme.
Salary & Benefits
* Base salary: £30,991 – £35,400 per annum.
* Optional bonuses: up to 4 sleep‑ins per month (£80 per sleep, approx. £3,840 per year), £1,400 Attendance Allowance (good attendance), £1,000 Welcome Bonus (probation), £1,000 Loyalty Bonus (after 12 months).
