Overview
We are looking for calm, patient and hardworking individuals with a friendly disposition to join our care team in the Health & Social-care environment. Experience is preferred but not essential; the ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard in a positive behavioural support setting is the primary factor.
Responsibilities
* Provide care at a high standard to residents and be available to support them 24/7
* Follow agreed guidelines and work within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos
* Work within a positive behaviour support framework and accept responsibility
* Participate in person-centred planning with the person’s circle of support and families to promote a unified approach
* Plan with the person to enable happiness, health and attainment of wishes and aspirations
* Undertake the role of Support Worker/Care Assistant to develop skills that support a career in adult social care
* Be flexible to cover a mixture of days, nights, sleep-ins and waking watches according to availability
* Training will be provided through the preferred training academy
Qualifications
* Experience in care is preferred but not essential
* Ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard in a positive behavioural support setting
* Ability to follow guidelines and work positively within a team
* Ability to handle stress and grow in confidence as a practitioner
* Flexibility to cover a variety of shifts
