Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm & Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
Salary: Negotiable but in the region of £34k to £40k (depending on experience)

Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter to join our precision engineering team. This is a hands-on role working on bespoke, one-off components to extremely tight tolerances. The successful candidate will have strong programming, setting, and operating experience on Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, with milling experience being advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls
2. Create and modify programs using OneCNC software
3. Manufacture bespoke, one-off precision components from engineering drawings
4. Work with tool steels and hardened steels
5. Produce components to tight tolerances ranging from 5–20 microns
6. Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies
7. Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment
8. Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency
9. Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet specifications and deadlines
Skills & Experience Required
10. Proven experience in precision engineering
11. Strong background as a CNC Turner, Programmer, and Setter
12. Experience using Fanuc control lathes
13. Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
14. Experience machining tool steels and hard steels
15. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
16. Ability to work independently on bespoke, one-off components

17. Milling experience
18. Multi-axis machining experience
19. Experience with complex or high-precision components
