National Aquatic Business Manager – “No Weekends”
Salary: £50,000 + Car allowance
Based: Hybrid + Travel
I am working with a great leisure business looking to appoint a National Aquatic Business Manager to expand the swim programme and overall aquatic offering. Are you a commercially driven leader with a strong aquatic background? If you thrive in a fast-paced culture, have experience of operating at a senior level delivering growth across a national multisite remit and have flexibility to travel to I would love to hear from you.
Role
1. Driving the commercial growth of group wide aquatic activity.
2. Maximise participation and income of the learn to swim and school’s programmes.
3. Deliver innovative pool programming across the group.
4. Ownership and delivery of aquatic budget and commercial growth, including generating customer demand, sales performance and product supply.
5. Tracking, measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of learn to swim programmes.
6. Coaching, supporting and driving a large team of swim managers across the Group.
7. Ensuring optimal resources in place at local partnership level to deliver growth.
8. Continuing to develop aquatics partnerships and pathways from early years, learn to swim, school swimming, club swimming & elite performance.
9. Working with and supporting Business Development team on new tender preparation regarding aquatic programming and learn to swim and the mobilisation of new business.
Requirements
10. Senior management experience, including management of projects-
11. Experience of problem solving, organisational, customer service and staff management
12. Experience of working strategically, developing plans, reports, setting and delivering against targets
13. Proven experience of applying and obtaining external funding and implementing development opportunities
14. A high awareness of National Governing Body initiatives, developments, new activities, trends and research on a national and regional basis
15. Good commercial awareness which translates into effective commercial management
16. A passion for the industry demonstrated through continuous professional development.
17. Strong people management and leadership skills
18. Good analytical and reporting skills and understanding.
There is a significant amount of national travel with the role, and you will need to be an organised and self-motivated individual.
