Protec Camerfield is Protec Fire and Security Group's company that specialises in sprinklers, watermist and gas suppression.
At Camerfield we have an opportunity for a Sprinkler and Water Mist Designer. Ideally we require the successful candidate to be based in the North West of England, although we will consider applicants from any UK locations, if their skills, knowledge and experience are suitable for the position requirements.
As Sprinkler and Water Mist Designer, you will provide comprehensive support as part of a busy sprinkler & water mist design team. Working with clients and engineers you will plan and organise works from the order stage through to completion ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Reporting to the Design Manager, the role will involve preparing the design drawings and calculations for projects.
2. Working closely with the project team to ensure designs are completed on time and to the relevant technical standards.
3. Involved in attending design meetings as and when necessary and supporting other members of the team.
4. Working with clients with the occasional face to face client meeting.
Requirements
1. LPCB Qualified
2. Experience of working in a similar role within the Fire Protection industry.

1. Excellent customer service skills
2. Professional telephone manner
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
4. Proficiency using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
5. Competent using AutoCAD & Canute FHC
6. BIM / Revit modelling
7. Ability to confidently deal with difficult and stressful situations
8. Ability to maintain accurate records
9. Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
10. Ability to communicate effectively with staff at varying levels throughout the company
Salary/package is dependent on experience and company policy is to promote internally.
