Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting SEN and SEMH Teaching Assistants for full-time roles starting in September across a range of specialist primary and secondary schools.
We are seeking dedicated individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN and/or SEMH
* Assist with managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
* Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Help pupils engage with their learning in a safe and inclusive environment
* Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
* Available full-time (Monday to Friday, term time) from September
* Patient, calm, and resilient - able to build positive relationships
* Passionate about working with children with additional needs
* Willing to work across primary and/or secondary SEN/SEMH settings
* Comfortable supporting personal care and sensory needs if required
* Experience working in SEN or SEMH settings
* Team Teach, MAPA, or similar de-escalation training
* Knowledge of autism, trauma-informed approaches, or emotional support work
* A relevant TA qualification or psychology/education background
* Competitive daily rates of pay, paid weekly
