Answering telephone Making appointments Receiving patients - greeting patients with a polite attitude Filing patient medical records Read Coding into notes Scanning and attaching patient information Completion of forms and other office paperwork Provide administration support to reception practice team Use of computer system to access patient medical records and other information Use of photocopier Training Assisting Doctors with patients as required (only when a DBS has been received) Attend practice meetings as necessary Reading practice policies and Alerts DBS Check Reception staff will be required to cover for other staff members during holidays, sickness etc. Reception staff may be required to carry out other admin duties where necessary training will be given where needed Reception Hours of work may change to accommodate the needs of the practice
