Determine the appropriate scope of hazard assessments, perform engineering calculations, guide testing programmes, and revise process designs based on findings. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry codes of practice. Collaborate with project engineering teams to develop plant layouts, costings, and proposals. Provide expert input on process improvement projects and support R&D in developing scalable chemical processes. Offer technical guidance to internal teams, customers, and third-party consultants on safety, design, and processing methods. Take ownership of specified projects, managing budgets, resources, and timelines to meet business objectives. Oversee the commissioning of new and modified plant operations to meet production targets. What We’re Looking For Degree-qualified in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent). At least 5 years of relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with commissioning and on-plant troubleshooting. Knowledge of COMAH and DSEAR regulations. Familiarity with SIL, LOPA, and DIERS methodologies. Track record of developing new chemical processes and enhancing existing ones.
