Main purpose of the role: The role of a Fundraising Volunteer is wide and varied! There are many opportunities to get involved, and you can participate in as many or as few as you like, depending on your availability and volunteering preferences.
Most volunteering occurs at fundraising events or within local communities, making it a fun and engaging experience. You'll typically work as part of a team alongside staff and experienced volunteers, meeting supporters and the public.
You also have the chance to make a difference locally by putting up posters and helping increase funds through collecting tins.
Key tasks: Opportunities include helping at events, representing the Hospice at community fetes, participating in street collections, putting up posters, and restocking collection tins and merchandise.
Desirable qualities: Friendly, approachable, good communicator, dependable, and well-presented. The Hospice offers ongoing training and support to volunteers.
