We are looking for a high-caliber Associate Director for our Project & Programme Management Team in Edinburgh, based across Scotland. You will lead project delivery, collaborate with colleagues, and ensure technical excellence for clients across key sectors.
You should have a proven track record in leading and delivering effective project management services, preferably within Scotland and Northern Ireland. A commitment to continuous improvement and business development is essential.
Key Attributes:
* Motivated and collaborative Project Management Practitioner experienced in managing complex projects.
* Client-facing project management consultancy experience in development, commercial property, or public sectors is desirable.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for leading multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience as an NEC Project Manager is essential.
* Ability to articulate construction industry knowledge effectively.
* Desire to develop client relationships and grow accounts.
Responsibilities:
* Manage construction projects throughout their lifecycle using best practices.
* Build positive relationships with all stakeholders.
* Serve as the primary client interface and lead project delivery.
* Ensure project commercial success and compliance with policies and standards.
* Manage team workload, provide guidance, and mentor junior staff.
* Drive new business opportunities and lead bid proposals.
* Lead large, complex projects from inception to completion.
* Maintain up-to-date legal and technical knowledge relevant to the work.
Requirements:
* Degree in a construction-related discipline or equivalent.
* Membership of a recognized professional institution (MRICS, MAPM, or equivalent).
* Positive, innovative, and initiative-taking approach.
* Leadership experience in client-facing project management roles.
* Experience with UK standard contracts (NEC, JCT) and procurement advice.
* Understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* Committed to personal development.
* Valid UK driving license.
