Key Responsibilities
* Become a Band 5 Nurse in an Emergency Department that attends over 100,000 patients per year.
* Recruitment includes demonstrating a 95% pass mark on a basic drug calculation paper as part of the interview process.
* Work agreed shift patterns and working days as set by the line manager to meet service needs.
* Communicate effectively in a challenging and swiftly changing environment.
* Apply current acute knowledge and demonstrate awareness of current healthcare initiatives.
* Collaborate with a Team Leader, Practice Development Nurse and Matron as part of the support structure.
* Engage with opportunities for further study including HDU, Mentorship and Emergency Care Practice courses.
Requirements
* Band 5 nursing qualification or equivalent.
* Ability to achieve a 95% pass on the basic drug calculation assessment.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong knowledge of acute care and healthcare initiatives.
* Commitment to working as part of a fast‑paced, dynamic team.
