MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - ELECTRICAL I am currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician on behalf of my client based in Ayrshire. The purpose of the role is supporting production teams by carrying out Planned, Corrective and Reactive Mechanical maintenance tasks. Primary Accountabilities • Carry out all activities in full compliance with H&SE legislation, within company policy and procedure. • Responsible for reporting any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions observed (using the Near Miss System) in accordance with responsibilities under the Health and Safety at work Act. • Carry out mechanical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM) to production equipment and mechanical infrastructure. • Fault diagnosis and root cause analysis • Work in accordance with site procedures, engineering standards and relevant legislation • Utilisation of the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) system for all maintenance works • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and is to the required standard of workmanship. • Work in accordance with the site permit to work system Qualifications/ Experience • HNC or equivalent in mechanical discipline • Ability to diagnose faults on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment • Good working knowledge of maintenance practice, MTBF, condition monitoring etc. • Experience in a mechanical maintenance role Desirable • Steam distribution experience • Experience working in a high hazard industry • CMMS experience • Industrial Health and Safety training Brightwork Ltd offers the services of an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
