Eden Scott are delighted to be supporting on an exciting opportunity to join one of Scotland's most respected retail brands as a Part-time Payroll Assistant. This standalone role is perfect for someone who thrives on autonomy and has a solid track record of running monthly payroll from start to finish, and is well versed in working within a fast-paced organisation.
This is a part-time position (3 days per week) based in Edinburgh, offered on a hybrid basis, with a strong package of benefits and a collaborative company culture.
Key Responsibilities
Run payroll independently on a monthly basis for 300+ employees using SAGE
Manage full-cycle payroll duties including processing timesheets, contract changes, starters, and leavers
Calculate statutory and company sick pay entitlements
Prepare and submit HMRC reports and payroll summaries for month-end
Manage queries from managers and staff regarding pay and legislation
Collaborate with the wider accounts and HR teams to support accurate reporting and documentation
Requirements
Strong experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally in a standalone role
Confident using payroll systems (SAGE preferred)
Solid understanding of payroll legislation, statutory entitlements, and HMRC reporting timelines
High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential data
