Health Innovation Oxford & Thames Valley (HIOTV) seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to provide maternity cover within the Clinical Innovation Adoption (CIA) Programme. The role requires someone who can step in quickly, work autonomously and lead complex programmes at pace.
Main duties
* Lead programmes supporting national NHS priorities (e.g., Respiratory, Cardiovascular Disease) and regional innovation priorities in partnership with Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and NHS teams.
* Support local clinical pathway transformation by redesigning services and adopting new models of care.
* Design and implement delivery and evaluation frameworks, including real-world data collection systems.
* Provide programme-level reporting and oversight for national, regional and local boards.
* Ensure clinical, operational and financial readiness for adoption.
* Identify risks and barriers to implementation and define mitigation plans.
* Support business case development, tenders and scaling decisions.
* Engage across clinical therapeutic areas, particularly respiratory and urology, while remaining adaptable to other specialties.
Health and safety, infection control, safeguarding and data quality responsibilities
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, infection prevention and control policies, child protection, safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, information governance, and data quality standards.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Educated to Master’s degree level or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and experience
* Strong experience working within or alongside the NHS and industry.
* Proven experience in national, regional or local programme delivery involving transformation or innovation adoption.
* Demonstrated ability to lead pathway redesign, service transformation and clinical model change.
* Deep understanding of evaluation methodology and application of evidence in NHS settings.
* Capability to access NHS datasets and analyse data for planning, evaluation and performance monitoring.
* Ability to understand a range of clinical care services and work credibly with clinicians.
Skills and aptitude
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to work with senior leaders, clinicians and external partners.
* Strong organisational ability to manage a busy and wide-ranging programme of work.
* Flexible, collaborative approach and readiness to work as part of a highly interdependent team.
