Our client is a well-established and highly respected precision sheet metal fabrication and engineering company, based in Leicester. They provide a full end-to-end service including design, CNC cutting, folding, welding, finishing, and full assembly. We supply into a wide range of sectors including retail POS/POP, architectural metalwork, medical, EV infrastructure, enclosures, kiosks, and OEM manufacturing.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our skilled production team.
About The Role:
As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated and welded components to customer specifications. This is a hands-on role requiring strong welding skills, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and experience working in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities:
MIG and TIG welding of sheet metal and fabricated components (mild steel and stainless steel)
Fabrication and assembly of bespoke parts and frameworks
Working from engineering drawings and specifications
Performing grinding, dressing, and finishing of welded joints to a high standard
Ensuring parts meet quality standards and tolerances
Operating basic workshop equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, and hand tools
Working alongside CNC laser, punch, and press brake departments to complete builds
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
Following company health & safety procedures and ISO9001 quality standardsAbout You:
Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Strong MIG welding ability (TIG welding experience beneficial but not essential)
Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and sheet metal
Ability to read and work from technical drawings confidently
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
