We are managing the development of a large-scale, mission-critical data center projects in Europe. This multi-phase program involves several international stakeholders and contractors, and demands a strong, experienced contract management professional to oversee contract strategy, execution, and compliance.
As the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing pre- and post-award contract activities for the entire data center project. Working remotely from London with occasional travel to Europe, you will interface with internal teams, external suppliers, and legal advisors to ensure contractual obligations are met, risks are mitigated, and commercial outcomes are optimized.
* Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation through to administration and close-out.
* Ensure contracts are compliant with both EU and local legal frameworks, as well as company policies and standards.
* Collaborate with procurement, project management, and legal teams to support vendor selection and onboarding.
* Identify and mitigate contractual risks and proactively resolve contract disputes or claims.
* Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements, KPIs, and scope of work.
* Lead change control processes and manage contract amendments as project requirements evolve.
* Prepare and present regular reports to stakeholders on contract status, risks, and issues.
* Support the project controls function in cost tracking, invoicing validation, and contractual budgeting.
Proven experience (8+ years) in contract management, ideally in data center, infrastructure, or construction-related projects.
Strong understanding of FIDIC, NEC, or similar international contracting standards.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with EU procurement regulations and cross-border contracting.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
Legal or commercial background is a plus.
Fluent in English; additional European languages are advantageous.
Willingness to travel periodically to European project sites as needed.
