Transport Administrator
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Job Type: Temp to Perm – 10 weeks via agency

About the Role
We are a well-established logistics business based in Walsall, looking to recruit an organised and reliable Transport Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our transport operation. This is a key office-based role, working closely with the Transport Manager, planners, and drivers to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the transport and planning team
Process driver paperwork, timesheets, and tachograph records
Input and maintain data on transport management systems
Handle delivery notes, PODs, and compliance documentation
Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, paperwork, and queries
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
Support compliance with driver hours, WTD, and transport regulations
Assist with general office duties as requiredSkills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or administration role preferred
Good understanding of transport operations (desirable but not essential)
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and transport systems)
Confident communicator, both written and verbal
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
