Care Assistant Nights at Marton Care Homes
Location: Grosvenor Park, Burnside Road, Darlington, Durham, United Kingdom
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (27.5 hours per week; includes occasional evenings and weekends)

What you’ll be doing
* Ensure the highest possible levels of care by supporting/resident assistance with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and all other aspects of daily living.
* Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs (physical, emotional and spiritual) while maintaining comfort and dignity.
* Assist residents with limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties; use aids provided as appropriate.
* Monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioural challenges.
* Assist in promoting continence and in delivering care for residents who are dying or have a progressive illness; assist with last offices as required.
* Observe care planning needs and complete written daily records in line with company policies and procedures.
* Support residents in social activities, helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Home.
* Respond to nurse call systems, door and telephone inquiries; pass on messages promptly.
* Under supervision of senior care staff, report on residents’ well-being.
* Carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by senior staff.
* Make visitors feel welcome; provide refreshments/assistance as needed.
* Make and change beds; keep rooms clean and tidy; manage waste disposal in line with the Home’s policy; use resources appropriately.
* Clean and maintain equipment used by residents/relatives (e.g., wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles) to keep the Home tidy and safe.
* Record participation and feedback to ensure meaningful engagement.
