Responsibilities
* Work on the visitor centre meet and greet operations, welcoming visitors, giving out information, and encouraging visitors to support the work.
* Be part of the retail team, helping to serve customers and undertake duties typical of a busy shop.
* Communicate well with visitors and provide excellent customer care.
* Rotas are planned for the visitor centre, with weekend and bank holiday working. Full induction and training will be provided, with opportunities to learn about running a busy visitor centre and nature reserve operation.
* Hours are part-time with weekend work; there is potential for increased hours during peak periods and to cover annual leave or sickness as required.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience
* GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
* Computer literate.
* Enthusiastic approach to work.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
* Multitasking skills.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to manage and respond quickly and positively to customer needs and feedback.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience
* Experience of working in a retail environment/visitor attraction.
* Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
* Till operation and payment handling.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-Time, flexible hours. Requires regular weekend working
Salary: £12.60 - £13.45 Per Hour
Benefits: Pension Scheme, Life Assurance Scheme, 26 days\' Annual Leave
Note: One position is available and is approximately 10 hours per week with increased hours to approximately 17 per week during April to October (peak trading periods). There will be the opportunity to pick up extra hours to cover annual leave or sickness absence as required.
