HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER – TEMP TO PERM
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coalville, East Midlands .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity with a salary of £32,000 per annum after successful completion of 13 weeks .
This role would suit candidates with experience as a Class 2 Driver, HGV Driver, LGV Driver, Multi-drop Driver or Delivery Driver.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• 06:00 – 15:00
Rates of Pay
• £15.75 per hour
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
• Following successful completion of 13 weeks, drivers will transfer onto a permanent contract with a salary of £32,000 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
• Completing RDC and brewery deliveries using curtain-side vehicles
• Minimal handball involved
• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle checks
• Ensuring all loads are secured correctly before transportation
• Adhering to all road traffic laws and transport regulations
• Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly
• Supporting loading and unloading duties where required
• Heavy lifting may be involved depending on deliveries
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C Licence
• Minimum 12 months' experience driving Category C vehicles
• A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• No major endorsement codes
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations
• Strong communication skills
• Physically fit due to the nature of the role
Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Previous RDC or brewery delivery experience
• Multi-drop delivery experience advantageous
Training Provided
• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
