Following a large refurbishment and investment. We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to excellence. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and recipes.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
* Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
* Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and encouraging professional development.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor food costs and waste management to optimise profitability.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
* Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Passion for food production with a creative approach to menu development.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
