Cover Supervisor – Full Time

We are partnering with secondary schools in Middlesbrough seeking a dependable and confident Cover Supervisor to join their teams on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals aiming to gain valuable classroom experience or develop a long-term career within education.

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during short-term absences of teaching staff. Your responsibilities include delivering pre-prepared work, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, and ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their tasks.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Deliver pre-set lesson plans in line with school standards
* Effectively and consistently manage classroom behaviour
* Support students to remain focused and complete assigned tasks
* Adhere to school safeguarding, behaviour, and reporting procedures
* Collaborate with teaching staff and senior leaders as required

The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with young people in education, youth work, coaching, or similar roles
* Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills
* Calm, professional, and adaptable approach
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Genuine interest in education and student development
* Degree-level qualification is desirable but not essential
