We have an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Apprentice to join us at our head office in High Wycombe. As a Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Apprentice you will be a key member of the business’ Environment and Sustainability team helping to develop, promote, manage and enhance our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and Sustainability capabilities, performance and opportunities across multiple UK locations. You will do this whilst studying for a Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification. Work: What you’ll do at work: Under the support and guidance of the Environmental and Sustainability Manager and the Environmental and Sustainability Coordinator, you will learn to: This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm (40 hours per week). During the study period, it is expected that the role holder attends formal training one day per week. Training: An apprenticeship includes regular training with a training provider. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This apprenticeship role will receive 6 hours of formal structured off-site training each week giving the apprentice opportunity to put developing knowledge into practice; build skills; and influence the direction and capability of the business. * Apprenticeship duration 18-24 months * 6 hours off-site/remote training each week by certified provider * On the job learning and development * To complete the apprenticeship, apprentices must complete an End Point Assessment (EPA). This includes: * Creating and submitting a portfolio of evidence * Attending a professional discussion * Submitting a work-based project followed by a report and a presentation with questions and answers * On successful completion of the apprenticeship promotion to Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Coordinator will be achieved. Essential qualifications/attributes: * You will have a keen interest in social responsibility and environmental sustainability issues. * You will have a desire to identify, and implement, process improvements and a willingness to take ownership of projects and tasks through to completion. * You will be methodical, organised and have a structured approach to work * You will need to be proactive, confident and motivated with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Apprentices under the age of 19 at the start of their apprenticeship will need to have achieved a level 2 in English and Maths prior to EPA. Desired qualifications/attributes: * GCSE or equivalent including Maths and English (Grade B / 5 or above) desirable * A-levels in relevant subjects e.g. Geography, Social Science, Sociology, Environmental Studies * Microsoft Office literate - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
