GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in Bentley, DN5. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour, helping them develop positive social skills and succeed academically in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor: Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with behavioural challenges. Implement behaviour management strategies and help students develop self-regulation skills. Build strong relationships with students, providing encouragement and guidance. Support teachers and school staff in creating a positive and safe classroom environment. Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies to ensure effective support strategies are in place. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges is desirable. Strong communication, interpersonal, and de-escalation skills. A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach when working with students. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
