About the role: Your role will be to lead and embed a data-driven culture within Business Development and Marketing (BDM) by implementing, governing and continuously improving the data strategy in line with Linklaters' strategic ambitions. You will drive data integrity, compliance, and innovation by defining priority data sets, championing data-informed decision making, and leading quality, lineage, and governance initiatives. Your key responsibilities: Lead and embed a data-driven culture across the BDM function. Implement, govern, and continuously improve the BDM data strategy, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic priorities. Champion data-informed decision making in day-to-day activities and strategic planning. Prioritise and define key BDM data sets to drive business development success. Lead initiatives to improve data quality, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and reliability. Map and monitor data lineage to ensure clarity, traceability, and audit readiness. Navigate and influence a complex stakeholder landscape, gaining buy-in for innovative data initiatives. Support BDM data governance, privacy, and security standards, safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining stakeholder trust. Your experience: Proven experience in data management and analytics, ideally gained within professional services, legal, or complex B2B environments. Strong ability to translate business needs into effective data and analytics solutions, particularly for business development, marketing, and client insights. Track record of data governance and quality assurance in regulated environments. Expertise in data quality frameworks, remediation strategies, and managing large, complex data sets. Skilled in analytics techniques, including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive approaches. Comfortable working in transformative or greenfield settings, providing clarity, structure, and momentum.
