This role suits a motivated and experienced senior lawyer eager to take on a key position within a forward-looking, collegiate firm.
About the role
Based in Exeter, Torquay, or Barnstaple, you will join the Estate Administration team, managing a diverse caseload, including complex matters like agricultural (APR) and business property claims (BPR). You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, identify inheritance tax savings, and generate new business opportunities through networking and referrals. Your proactive approach will help develop the firm's client base and support less experienced team members.
About you
As an experienced Private Client Lawyer, you are proficient in Estate Administration, capable of working independently on complex cases, and keen to mentor others. You likely hold STEP qualification or are pursuing it, with a strong track record of meeting billing targets, and delivering excellent client service. You are well-organized, resilient under pressure, and possess strong rapport-building skills. An approachable, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude is essential, as is a positive outlook on business development, ideally with existing regional connections.
