Position Details:
Contract Type: TemporaryStart Date: 14th July 2025End Date: 15th October 2025Working Pattern: Full Time
Your Role:As an Accommodation Support Officer, you will play a vital role in assisting our Housing Options Service Manager by providing essential support to vulnerable customers facing housing crises. Your responsibilities will include:
Assessing Needs: Receive initial referrals and gather vital information to arrange suitable temporary accommodation.Crisis Management: Find emergency housing for individuals and families in need.Out of Hours Support: Assist the Emergency Duty Team during emergencies and provide guidance to customers.Financial Management: Handle relevant charges and maintain accurate records related to temporary accommodation.Empower Customers: Offer advice on benefits, housing, and life skills, while helping customers set achievable goals.
What We're Looking For:We seek someone with the following skills and experiences:
Strong understanding of homelessness issues and safeguarding practises.Excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with various stakeholders.Capability to analyse problems and present viable solutions.Experience in managing complex cases and working under pressure.
