* Supporting Physical and Nuclear Security Systems: You’ll oversee the design and assurance of systems such as surveillance, access control, alarms, and other protective technologies, ensuring they meet both site and nuclear security needs.

* Writing and Reviewing Technical Reports: You’ll produce and update design reports and assessments that explain how systems meet performance, safety, and security requirements.
* Responding to Issues: You’ll review findings from inspections and maintenance, advise on fixes, and guide corrective actions to maintain system integrity.
* Managing System Lifespan: You’ll assess how long systems will last and recommend upgrades or replacements to manage ageing, wear, and obsolescence.
* Approving Design Changes: You’ll ensure any changes to systems don’t compromise safety, security, or compliance with regulatory standards.
* Keeping Records Up to Date: You’ll manage technical documentation and lifetime records for all security-related infrastructure.
* Collaborating with Experts: You’ll work with internal and external technical authorities to ensure best practice and compliance across all areas.

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the Nuclear Emergency Response Organisation, helping coordinate emergency response efforts as part of a dedicated team.

Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
