Job Title: Construction Site Manager Location: Darlington (with projects across the North East) Salary: £21 £23 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (50 hours per week) Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Overview We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee multiple projects based in Darlington and across the North East. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site personnel Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards Oversee joinery and general construction works, maintaining high-quality finishes Enforce and maintain strict health and safety compliance on site Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and daily briefings Manage site materials, deliveries, and workforce scheduling Liaise with clients, project managers, and suppliers Maintain accurate site documentation and progress reports Resolve on-site issues efficiently to keep projects running smoothly Requirements Minimum 10 years experience within the construction industry At least 5 years experience in a Site Manager or supervisory role Strong joinery background is essential Excellent understanding of construction processes and site coordination Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations Whats on Offer Competitive hourly rate of £21 £23 per hour (depending on experience) Stable 50-hour working week with consistent hours Opportunity to work on a variety of construction and joinery projects Clear progression opportunities for the right candidate Long-term opportunity within a growing and reputable company
