Kingswood Medical Centre in Basildon are seeking a salaried GP to work 3-4 sessions per week at our friendly practice. We are looking for the successful applicant to work on a Thursday all day, and either a Monday or Friday afternoon. Newly qualified GPs are welcome to apply. We are flexible with hours/sessions required and would welcome any discussion about working pattern. We also offer a generous salary for the post based on experience, negotiable. Newly qualified GPs are welcome to apply. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you would be supported by the senior clinicians, if required, and an accomplished admin team. We would be receptive to any special interests that the candidate may wish to pursue. The main responsibilities of the role include: Undertaking a variety of duties including face to face, telephone or video consultations, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients. Providing health education. Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards using templates provided (Ardens). Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements. Delivering enhanced services in conjunction with the clinical team. About the Candidate To be considered for the position, you will have the following; Qualified GP with GMC registration, newly qualified GPs are welcome Be on the NHSE medical performers list Knowledge of SystemOne Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management and primary prevention & screening services Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety Excellent inter-personal and communication skills able to operate in a confidential manner About Us We are a GMS non-dispensing, training practice and look after approximately 10,500 patients with a growing list size. We are a total triage practice. Our team consists of 3 GP Partners supported by 4 salaried GPs. In addition, we have other clinicians such as ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, and also a variety of support clinical staff from our PCN consisting of Pharmacists, MH practitioners and home visiting service. The clinical staff are supported by our admin team including receptionists, secretary, workflow and prescriptions clerk.
