Mechanical Design Engineer Swadlincote (DE11) Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 (DOE) Hybrid Working The Company: The company we are working with is a specialist systems integrator and deals with customers within the logistics and factory automation sectors. Unlike traditional manufacturers, they design, sell, and project manage full automation solutions. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen their team. The Role: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the sales team by developing automation system layouts and concepts for client proposals. Your responsibilities will include: Producing 2D layout designs of automated conveyor systems using AutoCAD. Developing concept solutions for tender submissions Creating 3D models of systems using Demo3D (training provided). Working closely with the sales team to provide technical input on enquiries Liaising with suppliers to source and specify equipment. Attending meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders Supporting the transition from concept design through to project handover The Candidate: To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience designing automation or conveyor systems layouts A background working for a systems integrator Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
