You will be a senior presence on the floor, helping to maintain high standards of care and education, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
Responsibilities
* Lead the daily running of your room, ensuring a high‑quality EYFS learning environment
* Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
* Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, keeping learning journeys up to date
* Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and their families
* Support, mentor, and role‑model best practice for junior practitioners in your room
* Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment at all times
Qualifications
* Level 3 Early Years qualification – Essential
* Proven experience in a room leader, senior practitioner, or key person role within an EYFS setting
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, child development, and safeguarding
* Confident communicator with families and wider childcare teams
* Passionate about delivering outstanding, child‑centred care and education
