SEND Teaching Assistant
MILK Education is working closely with a range of primary, secondary and specialist schools across Blackburn who are seeking passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The Role:
1. Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
2. Working with children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD and learning difficulties
3. Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
4. Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
5. Supporting pupils with personal development, emotional regulation and engagement
We’re Looking For:
6. Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or transferable experience considered)
7. A patient, caring and resilient attitude
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills
9. A genuine passion for education and inclusion
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
