Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Agile Product Owner to lead one or more of the agile squads within our Grid Monitoring Value Stream. This pivotal role involves close interaction with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the alignment of product development with market needs and user expectations. The Agile Product Owner will manage the product backlog, making critical prioritization decisions for the squads, and will be instrumental in developing use cases and roadmaps that address user problems. Key Responsibilities Market Problem Definition: Identify and articulate market problems and opportunities. User Personas Creation: Develop detailed user personas to guide product development. Product Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap. Requirement Gathering: Define and document product requirements. Backlog Management: Own the product backlog and prioritize features and enhancements for the development squads. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the Value Stream Leader to set strategic priorities and launch successful products. Customer Advisory Councils: Establish and lead customer advisory councils in collaboration with the Value Stream Leader and Marketing teams to gather feedback and insights. Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in a Science or Engineering related field (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction. Ability to analyse market trends and user feedback. Experience in defining user personas, developing product roadmaps, and managing backlogs. Strong Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities. Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g. Certified Scrum Product Owner). Training can be provided to certify previous experience. Preferred Skills/Experience Proven experience as an Agile Product Owner or similar role in product management Hands-on experience in backlog management covering the full product lifecycle. Understanding of the power utility industry and the various monitoring players. Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and backlog tools (Jira) Experience in distributed data acquisition, substation automation, grid monitoring, or industrial IoT solutions. Knowledge of Grid Monitoring and a solid grasp of relevant monitoring products such as Digital Fault Recordings, Phasor Measurement, Fault Location or Power Quality Experience establishing customer panels and driving user-driven product enhancements.
