About the Role
As an Intermediate Estimator, you’ll support the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders across a wide variety of projects—from high-spec residential new builds to heritage façade restorations. Key Responsibilities
1. Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare cost estimates
2. Assist with take-offs, pricing, and compiling bid submissions
3. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
4. Support senior estimators and the wider pre-construction team in delivering timely, accurate tender returns
5. Develop an understanding of build methods, specialist materials, and restoration techniques
6. Maintain internal databases and assist with project cost tracking and handover
REQUIREMENTS
About You
7. Previous experience in an estimating role, ideally within a main contractor or specialist restoration contractor
8. Good understanding of construction methods and materials, particularly in high-end residential or heritage sectors
9. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
10. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
12. Eagerness to learn and grow within a high-performing team
13. Relevant qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or related discipline (preferred)
