Job Title: Team Lead
As a Team Lead, you will oversee team management, ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are monitored, enforce company policies and procedures, and ensure that all products are picked and dispatched to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding KPIs.
1. Manage and motivate the shift team to achieve or surpass productivity and service KPIs.
2. Uphold the highest levels of Health, Safety, and Hygiene, ensuring compliance with legislative and quality standards, and complete relevant documentation.
3. Conduct quality and compliance checks, ensuring the operational team meets audit standards.
4. Deliver communication briefings to keep all shifts informed of company and local issues, encouraging employee input and involvement.
5. Manage Goods Inwards to ensure quick receipt of goods without damage, maintaining stock availability.
6. Develop team members to maximize their contributions and support succession planning.
7. Conduct disciplinary and grievance interviews and investigations following company procedures.
8. Monitor and manage sickness absence levels, conduct return-to-work interviews effectively.
9. Oversee time and attendance systems.
10. Manage overtime and agency staffing to run shifts efficiently and cost-effectively.
11. Enforce adherence to all company policies and procedures.
12. Supervise training, ensuring adequate Health & Safety representation, e.g., First Aiders, Fire Marshalls.
Qualifications
* Proficient in computer use, especially Excel.
* Confident in dealing with people at all levels.
* Adaptable and methodical in work, training, and hours.
* Conscientious and reliable.
* Capable of working efficiently under pressure.
* Prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
