Backer Heatrod Ltd is seeking a proactive Technical Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine engineering expertise with commercial insight in a role that supports both internal and external sales activities.
About The Company
Backer Heatrod is a leading UK manufacturer of electric heating elements and industrial heating solutions. As part of the global NIBE Element Group, we design and produce both standard and bespoke heating products for a wide range of industries including process, food & beverage, and chemical sectors.
What You'll Do
* Act as a technical point of contact for customer enquiries and projects
* Deliver tailored proposals and presentations
* Identify customer needs and engineer bespoke solutions
* Develop new business and nurture existing relationships
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams
* Support product development and quality assurance
* Maintain accurate CRM records and produce sales reports
* Travel to customer sites across the UK (pool car provided)
What We’re Looking For
* HNC or Degree in Engineering
* Experience in customer-facing sales roles
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple projects
* Mechanical or Electrical engineering background
* Experience in lean manufacturing or 5S
* Knowledge of heating element industry
