As a Sales Director you will lead and expand our commercial operations across all divisions. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, optimising return on investment, identifying new market expansion opportunities, and ensuring a world-class customer journey. You will be a key member of the senior leadership team, tasked with translating business strategy into actionable, high-impact sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
* Growth: Identify, evaluate, and lead new market expansion efforts, including geographic, product line, and strategic partnership opportunities. Conduct detailed ROI analysis on all sales activities, product lines, and market segments to ensure profitable growth whilst identifying, evaluating, and advising on new market expansion efforts.
* Team Management and Development: Directly manage the senior sales team, providing coaching, mentorship, and clear performance expectations to foster a high-performing, results-oriented culture. Oversee the development and delivery of effective sales training programs.
* Customer Experience and Operations: Manage and collaborate closely with the Head of Customer Experience to align sales processes and customer service protocols, ensuring a cohesive and outstanding customer journey from initial enquiry through to post-sale support, ensuring that the CRM system is fully utilised to manage the sales pipeline, track performance, and generate actionable insights.
* Finances: Present regular, detailed performance reports and strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team and board of directors.
* Reporting and Analytics: Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to provide accurate forecasting and inform overall business strategy.
* Problem-Solving: Proactively address issues, manage critical situations, and ensure customer service excellence.
* Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to regulations, maintain accurate records, and ensure accountability.
How You'll Do It
* Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with clients.
* Sales and Negotiation: Proven sales experience, effective negotiation skills, and a track record of achieving sales targets.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems, sales tools, and relevant industry software.
* Data Analysis: Ability to analyse data, interpret trends, and use insights to drive decision-making.
* Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, empathy, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
* Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
