ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food, emphasizing ethically sourced products and recommending recipes to customers. You will bring our ethos to life — passionate Partners serving food lovers.
You will use your enthusiasm and friendliness to build lasting relationships with customers, enhancing their impression of the Waitrose brand and fostering loyalty. Your efforts will also support sales and profit maximization.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure high standards of presentation and hygiene at your food counter.
* Manage stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
* Handle open foods carefully, following health & safety protocols and reducing waste.
* Stay informed about new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
* Support the wider team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience in catering or hospitality environments.
* Interest in current food and drink trends.
* Flexible approach to support the branch.

Pay: £12.40 Hourly
Contract Type: Temporary
Hours of Work: Up to 15 hours per week across 3 days, including Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, between 07:30 - 21:00.
