About the Role: As an Autism Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive. You'll play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their personal and academic goals. What You'll Be Doing: Supporting pupils during lessons, activities, and playtimes Delivering 1:1 or small group interventions tailored to individual needs Encouraging communication, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour Assisting with sensory and learning needs in a calm, patient manner Helping to track progress and celebrate achievements Creating a safe, supportive space where children feel valued and understood Who We're Looking For: Experience working with children or young people (formal or informal) A calm, caring, and resilient approach to supporting additional needs Strong communication and teamwork skills A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new strategies Experience with ASC, ADHD, or similar conditions is highly desirable Knowledge of Makaton, sign language, or alternative communication methods is a bonus-but not essential! ✅ Requirements: A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one) Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Why Join Monarch Education?
