Overview
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal. You will be assisting the Partner in relation to sales and purchases to include file set up. The latter to include new build, shared ownership properties etc. You will also be familiar with dealing with transfer of equity and mortgage transactions. As part and parcel of your role you will be attending to inter alia liaising with estate agents, solicitors for the buyer or seller, raising enquiries, replying to enquiries, attending to securing mortgage funds. Undertaking anti-money laundering checks and conflict checks. Assisting the Partners and Accounts Department in reviewing source of funds and source of wealth information. You will prepare or check sales contracts. Collate all supporting legal documentation. You will attend to transactions from initiation of instructions through to conclusion and have active involvement in attending to clients whether it be by telephone, personal attendance or email/letter exchanges.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Partner with sales and purchases, including file setup and matters involving new build and shared ownership properties.
* Handle transfer of equity and mortgage transactions.
* Liaise with estate agents and solicitors for buyers or sellers; raise and respond to enquiries; assist in securing mortgage funds.
* Conduct anti-money laundering checks and conflict checks; assist Partners and Accounts Department in reviewing source of funds and source of wealth information.
* Prepare or check sales contracts and collate all supporting legal documentation.
* Manage transactions from instruction to conclusion; interact with clients by telephone, in person, or by email/letter exchanges.
* Experience liaising with the Land Registry and using the Land Registry portal; upload information; handle Land Registry and SDLT applications and requisitions as required.
* Assist with management company requirements and stamp duty regulations.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Paralegal with real estate transactions and AML/conflict awareness.
