Accounts Assistant (12 Month FTC) Location: Ipswich Full Time £28,0000 SRM have partnered with a nationwide business to hire an Accounts Assistant role on a 12 month fixed term basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a varied position involving purchase ledger tasks and supporting subcontractor accounts. You’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities will include: Processing purchase invoices and obtaining payment approvals Completing supplier statement reconciliations Preparing monthly payment runs Verifying new subcontractors and managing CIS returns Handling supplier queries by phone and email Supporting the Finance Manager with general accounting duties What we’re looking for: Experience in a purchase ledger Studying towards or holding a relevant accounting qualification is a plus Construction industry experience (ideally CIS) Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills A methodical approach and ability to work under pressure If you're immediately available and interested, please apply now.
