Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Childrens Safeguarding Social Worker to join a busy and supportive team in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled locum professional who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in safeguarding vulnerable children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake statutory safeguarding duties in line with legislation and best practice
- Carry out assessments, care planning and reviews
- Manage a complex caseload effectively within agreed timescales
- Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children
- Attend court proceedings and provide high‑quality reports where required
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case records
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' permanent post‑qualified experience within an English Local Authority
- Strong background in Children's Safeguarding
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload
- SWE registration (Social Work England)
- Full right to work in the UK
