As a Category Manager for Electrical & Automation in Marine Technical Procurement, you will work closely with our technical, new-building, operational teams, and suppliers to define and deliver cost-competitive, differentiated solutions to the Royal Caribbean fleet of cruise vessels.
You will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the category strategy with a focus on optimizing operations. You will build broad networks and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, implementing category strategies and supporting various projects, including innovation and retrofit initiatives.
Key responsibilities
1. Support new-building projects and ongoing maintenance with innovative procurement solutions.
2. Build and execute the global category strategy to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-optimal operations.
3. Manage stakeholders to create partnerships supporting our strategies.
4. Engage with suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure supply chain reliability.
5. Collaborate with technical and operational teams to understand project requirements and technical specifications.
6. Drive cross-functional projects to meet cost and value targets.
7. Establish and apply cost modeling, spend & demand analysis, and evaluations.
8. Address operational queries within your area of responsibility.
Work Environment
Up to 25% domestic and international travel as necessary.

About Us & Minimum Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement or technical sales & marketing within maritime, transport, or relevant industry.
* Good understanding of marine electrical systems, automation technologies, and industry standards.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Proven track record of delivering cost-competitive, differentiated solutions at scale.
* Strong commercial mindset and problem-solving skills with personal drive.
* Beneficial: BSc or MSc in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
