Experienced Paint Sprayer
Location: Thorne, DN8 5TZ
Hourly Rate: £20.25 per hour plus overtime
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, Temporary for 6 weeks
Job Summary
Responsible for preparing surfaces and applying water-based paint using spraying equipment. This role involves ensuring high-quality finishes on premium timber products, maintaining equipment, and adhering to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Surface Preparation - Clean, sand, and mask surfaces to prepare them for painting
* Paint application - Select and mix appropriate paints or coatings, apply using spray equipment
* Quality Control - Finished product must meet specifications
* Equipment maintenance - Routine maintenance and minor repairs to spray equipment
* Safety compliance - Abide by strict health and safety procedures using hazardous substances
* Inventory Management - Assist in managing paint and equipment supplies
* Cleanliness - Keep work area clean and free of hazards
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a paint sprayer or in a similar role
* Knowledge of water-based paint and the application
* Excellent attention to detail
* Awareness of safety procedures and regulations
Skills
* Proficiency in operating spray equipment
* Strong communication skills
* Work well in a team
