Personal Tax ManagerLocation: Dudley (Hybrid Working Available) | Heart of the Black CountryWe're working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Dudley, right in the heart of the Black Country. Known for delivering high-quality advisory services to individuals, families, and business owners, our client blends deep local knowledge with modern thinking and collaborative working. They are now seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager to lead their personal tax department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tax professional looking to take ownership, shape a team, and contribute meaningfully to client success-while progressing in a flexible and forward-thinking firm.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the personal tax team, supporting junior staff, and managing your own portfolio of clients. This role is ideal for someone confident in both technical review work and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and review the preparation and submission of self-assessment tax returns for a diverse client base
* Provide clear, practical advice across a wide range of personal tax issues
* Mentor and support junior staff, encouraging development and technical accuracy
* Maintain strong client relationships and proactively identify tax planning opportunities
* Ensure deadlines are met and compliance is delivered efficiently
* Stay up to date with legislative changes and HMRC guidance
About You:
* ATT qualified as a minimum; CTA or equivalent experience is highly desirable
* Strong background in personal tax within practice
* Experience managing a client portfolio and reviewing the work of others
* Confident communicator with strong organisational and people-management skills
* Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
