Job Description
Main Purpose of Job:
The role involves operating various machines to produce conforming products, assisting with setup and preparation of materials and tooling based on engineering drawings, and producing precision components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industries. Tasks include gear cutting, turning, lapping, grinding, and deburring.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate machines efficiently;
2. Assist and change machine settings for different jobs within set timeframes;
3. Read and interpret engineering drawings;
4. Adjust machine parameters and tooling to meet specifications;
5. Use measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers to check work against drawings;
6. Apply deburring as per design specifications;
7. Set up and run multiple machines when appropriate;
8. Ensure production targets are met, conducting in-process inspections;
9. Address technical queries when possible;
10. Support colleagues and assist with other duties to ensure smooth operations;
11. Follow the company's quality system and safety procedures;
12. Maintain punctuality and report issues promptly;
13. Adhere to health and safety training requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
* 3–5 years' relevant experience in a similar role;
* Proficiency with measuring equipment;
* Strong math and technical skills;
* Experience in systematic problem solving;
* Proactive attitude and team-oriented mindset;
* Quick learner and adaptable to change;
* Excellent attention to detail;
* Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines;
