An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client, an established housing provider in the UK. They have a large portfolio of supported living projects and offer generic housing management and supported housing services.
Vacancy Brief:
* The vacancy is for a Young People Support Worker.
* This is a potential temp to perm role with 35-40 hours per week.
* The role is shift-based and requires flexibility across the week.
* Pay rate: £14.77 per hour PAYE or £19.00 Umbrella.
* Mileage paid at 0.45p per mile for work-related travel; business insurance is required to claim mileage.
* A full UK Driver’s License and access to a vehicle are preferable.
* A current Enhanced DBS covering Child and Adult workforce is required.
* Service user group: 16–18 or up to 21 if leaving care.
Typical working pattern:
* Week 1: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri (08:00 - 16:00)
* Week 2: Wed, Sat, Sun (08:00 - 16:00)
* Week 3: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri (14:15 - 22:15)
* Week 4: Wed, Sat, Sun (14:15 - 22:15)
Responsibilities:
* Provide front-line support 1-2-1 with young people in a home environment.
* Support young people to develop independent living skills.
* Create person-centred action plans based on identified needs.
* Offer support and guidance to empower young people towards independence.
* Maintain accurate documentation and support files.

This role offers valuable experience for careers in criminal justice, including liaising with agencies such as local authority Housing Benefit departments and the DWP to resolve financial issues.
