We are currently seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join a friendly and well-established GP Practice in Coventry on a locum/temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled nurse looking for flexible working arrangements with competitive hourly rates.
The Role:
As a Practice Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the GP team and delivering high-quality patient care within a primary care setting. You will be responsible for a range of nursing duties and clinics to support the ongoing health and wellbeing of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering routine nursing care within a GP Practice setting
* Running chronic disease management clinics (e.g., asthma, diabetes, COPD)
* Administering immunisations and vaccinations
* Cervical screening (smears)
* Wound care and dressings
* Health promotion and patient education
* Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to clinical protocols
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
* Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a Primary Care / GP Practice setting
* Experience with chronic disease management and routine practice nurse duties
* Strong communication and patient care skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
