Our client based in the central area of Manchester are looking for a qualified Electrician to join a well-established team of engineers covering pre-planned and reactive maintenance across their site.The salary will start at £29,605 per annum (with scope to increase to £32,982 over time) with a very generous benefits package, with generous holidays & employer pension contribution of 19%. There are also additional callout payments. Ideally, they would like someone with 18th Edition & Inspection & Testing certification or though this is not essential. However, a current driving licence is an essential requirement for the role. This might suit someone who is staring off in their career, who wants to join an experienced team and learn what is required to become a skilled Maintenance Electrician within an FM environment. The role duties/experience include the following; -Assisting in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of building services of plant & equipment and systems across the site. Some installation work will also be required. -Knowledge of Fire Alarms, emergency lighting, and other statutory provisions requirements for M&E building services. -To diagnose, using engineering principles, malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem using professional knowledge and techniques. -Equivalent to NVQ Level 3/BTEC National Certificate/Diploma. -City & Guilds 2382 (BS:7671 18th Edition) qualification. -Assist managers with arrangements of contractor visits, periodic testing and inspections. -Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relating to relevant areas and proven knowledge of health and safety in relation to Electrical Engineering.
